Matthew Passmore

Matthew graduated the Central Institute of technology in 2009 with an Advanced Diploma of Screen, and a Diploma of Film and TV. He worked in the film industry for five years and has over 50 credits to his name. He has also worked in community radio as a broadcaster and currently freelances as a journalist for an independent AFL website.

In 2011, Matthew took up a role with the department of Sport and Recreation as an instructor which opened the door to teaching and he began studying to be a primary teacher. A brief interlude to England provided the opportunity to work as an education assistant in both high and primary schools, and on return he swapped to study high school English and HASS and studied part time until while raising his three children.

Whilst he is at the beginning of his teaching career, it has been a long, convoluted journey to get to this point which gives Matt a strong foundation to step off from. Matthew has a desire to learn and teaches his passions in a hope to install some of that passion into his students.
