Magdalena Evans

Magdalena came to understand the relationship between language, acceptance and belonging when she started kindergarten at the age of four with very limited exposure to the English language. Since then, she has been passionate about empowering herself and others with the ability for full expression of self through the power of language. Magdalena comes to Bold Park with fifteen years of secondary English teaching experience in addition to learning support teaching and experience in educational leadership roles. As an English specialist, Magdalena loves exploring issues with students that are of personal or cultural relevance to them, and bearing witness to the confidence that comes as students elevate their creative and critical thinking skills.

“Stand aside for a while and leave room for learning, observe carefully what children do, and then, if you have understood well, perhaps teaching will be different from before.

Creativity becomes more visible when adults try to be more attentive to the cognitive processes of children than to the results they achieve in various fields of doing and understanding.”
