Whole School Focus Evening 2018

For me, the Whole School Focus Night is the most important night for Bold Park Parents. It asks our community to ‘stand back’ from the immediacy of engagement as a parent of our own children within our school to see the wider context at play.

Through the work of your children; hearing from our Pedagogista, Nicole; our educator’s panels; teacher discussions and the rich insights from our keynote speakers, Miranda and Michael – I know you will have been reminded of the validity of your choice; of the deep learning beyond curriculum embedded in projects, provocations, investigations and reflections; of the gift of play and joy and time to grow engagement above checklists; of the living philosophical pillar of mutual respect and; of the commitment of our exceptional educators who keep human relationships at the heart of learning.

I am delighted to have spent the last two days with Michael and Miranda who see the vision and purpose of Bold Park Community School and I know that what they have shared will answer the questions you may have had about all that Bold Park offers in contrast to the educational norms offered elsewhere.

As a school, we have stated that our purpose is ‘to cultivate a community of learners who positively influence their worlds’. We are all a part of that community of learners, not just the children … we want you to understand more deeply so you can be energised in your partnership with us.
