Whole School Focus 2016

In our opening weeks of 2016 we have been investigating and unpacking our Whole-School Focus for the year. It is an exciting time as we discuss possibilities, provocations and projects together. Last week; we took a moment to feature our Pedagogista; Nicole Hunter and I urge you to read the most recent post by Nicole as she articulates the thinking which underpins the Whole-School Focus and the direction of some of this years’ discussions (http://www.boldpark.com/our-approach/whole-school-focus/).

Our Whole School Focus for 2016 is for:

The school community to understand at a deep level themselves, those around them and the world they live in through seeking connections and relationships.

On a personal note; I have been greatly encouraged by the vision and commitment our staff have already demonstrated in engaging with this focus – you will see a growing momentum as our teams work with this core idea within each class context. We can already see a multi-faceted and diverse picture emerging and there has been a beautiful synergy between the 2015/2016 focus’. The juxtaposition of “Gratitude” and “Relationships” serving one another perfectly!

In order to fully engage with our focus; we are going to need YOU! There are a huge range of opportunities for parent engagement and a genuine invitation to join us in enhancing our “village”. We endeavour to make visible the many ways you can partner and participate with us at Bold Park Community School.
