Problem Solving through Digital Technologies

In their Digital Technologies lessons, Brainstormers are designing and creating an invention to solve a problem in their life. They started by viewing different media to inspire their thinking in this area. A slideshow of inventions throughout history was the first and some inventions surprised the Brainstormers as they did not consider that websites and YouTube videos could be inventions! The second media viewing was a short animation video entitled ‘Soar’ by Alyce Tzue. The story shows the need for perseverance when inventing and the importance of creative and critical thinking skills. Over the coming weeks, the Brainstormers will begin to work towards their own creations to meet a need they have.
