Mairead Furlong

Mairead had an interesting and diverse career prior to becoming a teacher. Ranging from recruitment (London), graphic design (Sydney), to a childbirth educator and breastfeeding counsellor while living in Singapore and Bali. All this while being a Mum to three children. When Mairead and her family arrived in Perth in 2015, she was introduced to BPCS, she decided then and there she would one day “work there.”

Mairead is passionate about learning being accessible to all. She is a very experienced educator working across all Primary Year levels as well as being a certified Leap Languages Teacher.
Here areas of interest are languages, literacy and culture especially Indigenous now that she is in Australia.

In her spare time she loves SUP, kayaking, reading, travelling, sharing food with family and friends.
