Jess Wellman

Jess has been teaching Drama and Media since 2009 in the Perth hills. Her passion for sharing practice, and working with other teachers, has also led Jess to engage extensively in the development and delivery of professional learning opportunities and resources for Drama teachers, both locally and nationally, through her role as President of DramaWest (Association of Drama Educators, W.A.). She also has two small children to keep her busy!

Jess has a strong passion for creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their creative potential, and can grow in confidence, empathy and mutual respect through Drama. Jess is excited to join the Bold Park team in 2018, as she feels that the school’s values and student-centered philosophies align perfectly with her own.

“One of the things that has been wonderful about the Bold Park Community School is its opportunity to respond to the needs that are specific to the child ... it is reassuring when a school can deliver at a pace and style that is respectful of the individual's differences and needs AND to demonstrate the relevance of curriculum issues into the application for real life and living.”
