Debbie Dreckow

Debbie has been at Bold Park since 2008 working as an intern relieving in the classrooms.

This led to her current position as Literacy Support Assistant, working with students from pre-primary to middle school and college. Debbie enjoys this position as she is able to gain a good rapport with the students which in turn helps give them confidence in their learning.

When Debbie is not at Bold Park she is always busy with her seven grandchildren. She also loves to entertain and enjoys working with her local Ladies Fellowship which raises funds for local and overseas mission by catering for many occasions.

Debbie loves being a staff member of Bold Park as she likes to work as part of a team who takes a keen interest in the holistic education of their students.

“Stand aside for a while and leave room for learning, observe carefully what children do, and then, if you have understood well, perhaps teaching will be different from before.

Creativity becomes more visible when adults try to be more attentive to the cognitive processes of children than to the results they achieve in various fields of doing and understanding.”
