Bonita Barham

Bonita’s education career began in 1988 in the private sector teaching a combination of English and Music to young teens. Over the ensuing years, she has taught in various areas including English, Music, Health and Religion and Life and has always held a high regard for the pastoral care of all her students.

After a ten year period of being a stay-at-home-mum for her four children, she re-embarked on her career in 2001 during which she established an extensive Primary Classroom Music Programme for 9 years. Handing over the Music programme in 2010 allowed her to concentrate on further developing her love of literature and film. Along with teaching English to the Middle and Senior years Bonita then managed the implementation and assessment of an Intensive Remedial Reading Programme for low ability readers across the board in High school.

Her move to Bold Park has given room for a fresh approach to teaching teens where she looks forward to re-igniting her true passion – sharing the enjoyment of learning with young people and equipping them with life skills to become confident participants in the greater community.
