Why Attend This Event

This unique event showcases our ‘High School Information’, a session with College Team Leader, Tim Vidler, outlining the unique learning opportunities available at our Maylands campus on your way to achieving a Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). This information will cover how and what we teach in Years 10 to 12. We will also have Alumni students speak about their Bold Park experience (during College and post graduation).

‘Classroom Experiences’ will be on show with College educators in attendance to discuss and showcase current student work.

Additionally, Leadership Team members will be on hand to answer questions regarding our Pedagogy, including our focus on the Arts and Certificate programs

Beyond Bold Park

RSVP to attend

Pathways Coordinator, Carrie Crockart, will also provide a ‘Beyond the Pathways Briefing’ – an investigation into the range of pathways available to students beyond senior secondary for university, career and vocational considerations.

As part of the event, a ‘Pathways Expo’ will provide an opportunity for parents and students to speak with a wide range of education and workplace providers (e.g. Universities, TAFEs, Apprenticeships, Hospitality, Health & Beauty, SAE, AFD) to discuss the many varied pathways to higher learning or future career options.

We invite you to take a glimpse of what a Bold Park education looks like. Complete the registration form below to book into the Twilight Tour & Pathways Expo at our Maylands (Yr 10 – 12) campus on Thursday 15 August, 2024.

Offering Different

A Certificate IV in Design is a privileged alternative entry for most of Western Australian’s universities.

There are only a handful of Schools in WA offering a Certificate IV in any course area; and at Bold Park, we make it available to our Year 11 and 12 students.

For most Schools it is difficult to guarantee the caliber of qualified staff to deliver at the Certificate IV level and the compliance requirements can be cumbersome. We are well-placed to meet both of these requirements.

Cert IV is also a nationally recognised certificate qualification and is important to note the course is demanding, with an estimated 650 nominal hours across 15 packaged Units of Competency and is delivered across two years.

This Pathway to University allows us to work organically with the WACE General Courses offered in Years 11 and 12; and sits alongside the project-based experience we privilege and strive for at Bold Park.

Community Links

A Bold Park experience doesn’t only occur on our stunning Maylands grounds; a big part of our enriched learning occurs off site.

This could be part of our Outta Boundz program where students do a term of dance with WA Ballet at their Maylands HQ, student work experience with local not-for-profits like the Maylands Historical Society or paid work with local businesses like the Mosiac Collective.

As part of Pathways Night, we have invited our linked wider community to attend and tell you more about our students’ ongoing connection.

The Outta Boundz program was initially designed to challenge our Yr 10 students, whilst developing an intentional connection to place (Maylands and the City of Bayswater) and one another, through shared experiences. The program, now available to Middle School and College students, offers diverse opportunities from nature-based to community engagement experiences.
