Boomerang Bags

Kim and Margo from Boomerang Bags came and talked to us about reducing the use of plastic bags and how easy it is to make a difference with a simple action. They worked with us to sew bags made from recycled materials for the Boomerang Bag stand at the Mezz in Mt Hawthorn.

Students cut out bags and handles, screen printed the logo and then sewed their bags together. It was a real team effort.

“One of the things that has been wonderful about the Bold Park Community School is its opportunity to respond to the needs that are specific to the child ... it is reassuring when a school can deliver at a pace and style that is respectful of the individual's differences and needs AND to demonstrate the relevance of curriculum issues into the application for real life and living.”
